Robinsons Department Store, Toys R Us partner with Lions Clubs Int'l for eyeglass recycling program

Robinsons Department Store and Toys R Us partner with Lions Club of Marikina Valley (MVHLC) for Recycle for Sight, Lions Clubs International’s flagship eyeglass recycling program.

Through a donation made by Robinsons and Toys R Us, optical equipment will be purchased for MVHLC’s new Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center (LERC), the first in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. The LERC will serve as a hub for collecting, cleaning, sorting, and distributing usable frames and lenses for vision screened children, senior citizens, and indigent residents of Marikina and nearby communities.

Eyeglass donation boxes are also available at select Metro Manila and Luzon stores of Robinsons and Toys R Us.

Present at the signing event on September 20, 2022 were Celina Chua, Group General Manager; Rayjun Abuel, Past District Governor of MVHLC; Belen Duque, President of MVHLC; and Carmina Quizon, General Manager.
