The Marketplace donates 100 upcycled crates to Navotas fisherfolk

The Marketplace, in partnership with Save Philippine Seas, turned over 100 upcycled fish crates to Alyansa ng Mangingisda ng Navotas (ALMANA) last month.
The crates were made from plastics collected through The Marketplace’s in-store recycling program, made possible with the help of customers, and a coastal cleanup held last May at the Las Piñas–Parañaque Wetland Park, where employee volunteers gathered over 150 kilograms of waste.
“Real change starts with everyday choices—what we recycle, what we support, and how we show up for others. When we come together, those small acts can lead to meaningful outcomes,” said Managing Director Christine Tueres.
This initiative reflects a continuously growing commitment to sustainable action—purposeful, people-centered, and inspired by the communities we serve.
