Robinsons Easymart, CORA launch Eco-Champs in Angeles City

Robinsons Easymart, in partnership with CORA (Communities Organized for Resource Allocation), the City Government of Angeles, the Department of Education - City Schools Division of Angeles, and the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, launched the Eco-Champs Program in Angeles City on July 17, 2026.

Guided by Robinsons Easymart’s Easy on the Plastic commitment, the citywide pilot encourages Angeleños to bring recyclable plastics to participating Robinsons Easymart stores, while four partner schools serve as Eco-Champs by leading collection efforts among students, teachers, and school personnel. The collected plastics are then turned over to CORA for proper recycling.

The Eco-Champ schools are Gueco Balibago Elementary School, Francisco G. Nepomuceno Memorial High School, Jose P. Dizon Elementary School, and Mining Elementary School.

“Launching Eco-Champs in Angeles City is especially meaningful for Robinsons Easymart because Pampanga is home to some of our earliest stores. We have grown alongside the communities we serve, and this initiative builds on that history by encouraging simple, everyday actions that can make a difference for the environment,” said General Manager Myleene Magleo.

Present at the launch were officials from the Angeles City Government, represented by Vice Mayor Amos Rivera and Councilor Jaycee Parker-Aguas, officials from the DepEd Schools Division Office of Angeles City, CORA Founder and Executive Director Antoinette Taus, representatives from the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, Robinsons Retail executives, and student leaders from the four Eco-Champ schools.
