The Marketplace brings Anya Hindmarch Universal Bag to PH

As part of our efforts to expand practical reusable options in our stores and support the shift away from single-use carrier bags, The Marketplace has launched Anya Hindmarch’s Universal Bag in the Philippines, now available exclusively at The Marketplace.

Anya Hindmarch is a British accessories designer known for design-led, functional pieces. The Universal Bag brings that approach to an everyday shopping essential.

Made from 100% recycled plastic, the Universal Bag offers a reusable option for regular grocery shopping. It also comes with a local return option in Manila for customers who wish to send the bag back for recycling once it can no longer be used.

“We try to make sustainability feel less like a campaign and more like part of everyday shopping. That means offering options that customers will actually use repeatedly, and being clear about what they can do at end of life, including a local return option for recycling,” said Managing Director Christine Tueres.

The partnership reflects a shared interest in practical design applied to everyday routines. It was supported through ongoing discussions, including a meeting in London in June 2025, where Ms. Tueres met with Ms. Hindmarch and Anya Hindmarch Brand and Commercial Director Kate Southworth.
