Southstar Drug marks year-end with Christmas gathering for employees with disabilities

At Southstar Drug, diversity and inclusion are part of everyday work, shaping how teams collaborate and support one another across the organization and within the wider Robinsons Retail group.
Last December, Southstar held a Christmas gathering with employees with disabilities as part of its year-end activities. The company currently employs more than 40 employees with disabilities, working across stores, distribution centers, and the head office.
“Every workplace is made up of different people with different ways of working. At Southstar, we create conditions where people can find their footing, contribute meaningfully, and feel part of the team as the work goes on,” said General Manager Thaddeus Sanchez.
For close to a decade, Southstar has supported inclusive employment through ongoing hiring, training, and workplace integration efforts. This includes initiatives such as Project Incredibles, launched in 2023 to support the training and integration of neurodivergent employees into regular roles within the company.
At Southstar, inclusion is part of how work gets done every day and how the company builds teams that reflect the communities it serves.
