Southstar Drug opens 700th store in QC

Southstar Drug opened its 700th store on June 19, 2025 at the University of the Philippines (UP) Shopping Center in Diliman, Quezon City.

The new store is part of Southstar’s ongoing effort to thoughtfully expand its presence in key areas—providing convenient access to healthcare products and everyday essentials for communities throughout the country.

“Our approach has always been to open not only accessible stores but stores that could make the most impact. We hope to serve the diverse UP community and contribute to their everyday well-being,” said General Manager Thaddeus Sanchez.

Cutting the ribbon to open the store were CBMS Retail Managing Director Bim Sebastian, BPI Senior VP Rally Jereza, UP Diliman Vice Chancellor Jerwin Agpaoa and Health Services OIC Dr. Olivia Basuel, Universal Robina Corporation VP Cheri Masipag-Moran and Managing Director Oscar Villamora, Unilever Phiippines Chairman and CEO Freddy Ong, Unilab Group Senior VP Melo Villaroman, Jr., and Ritemed Philippines President Jose Maria Ochave.
