Daiso PH holds annual meeting at Daiso HQ in Tokyo

Daiso Japan PH’s annual shareholders meeting was hosted by Daiso Industries Co., Ltd. at their headquarters in Tokyo in early June.

The meeting marks over 15 years since Robinsons Retail was appointed Daiso’s franchisee in the Philippines in 2009, and the opening of the first Daiso store in the country in April that same year—a milestone that reminds us how far the partnership has come, and how much opportunity still lies ahead.

The meeting also honored Mr. Hirotake Yano, the visionary founder of Daiso, who passed away in 2024. His legacy lives on through his son, Seiji Yano, who, as President, now leads Daiso’s global presence across 25 countries and regions with a strong commitment to preserving Daiso’s unique identity and purpose.

President Yano and Daiso executives VP Koshoku Boku, Global Corporate Chief GM Shunji Kuwasako, Director Jun Tomioka, Global Finance and Accounting Chief GM Hitoshi Fujiu, and Overseas Distributors Operations Manager Ibuki Kondo welcomed Daiso Japan PH Chairman Wilfred Co and GM Katherine Yu as well as Robinsons Retail Chairman Robina Gokongwei-Pe, President and CEO Stanley Co, CFO Mylene Kasiban, Corporate Secretary Gilbert Millado, and Finance Head Martha Del Rosario.
