Southstar Drug, Maxicare host 12th annual Run for Wellness

Southstar Drug, in partnership with Maxicare Healthcare Corporation, hosted the Metro Manila leg of its 12th annual Run For Wellness at the UP Diliman Academic Oval in Quezon City on August 13, 2023.

The run was participated in by close to 5,500 runners and supported by close to 50 partner suppliers. As part of Southstar Drug and Maxicare’s goal of helping improve healthcare standards in the country, Php 500,000 was donated to UP Diliman's University Health Services (UPHS) for the maintenance of medical facilities and equipment. 

Present at the run included DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte who led the run’s ceremonial gun start, and UP Diliman Chancellor Edgardo Carlo Vistan II together with Maxicare President and CEO Christian Argos, Southstar Drug General Manager Mariel Crisostomo, UP Diliman Community Affairs Vice Chancellor Roehl Jamon, UPHS Director Myrissa Melinda Alip, Robinsons Retail President and CEO Robina Gokongwei-Pe, DOH Public Relations Officer and Head Executive Assistant Maria Liavel Badillo-Crisostomo, and Robinsons Retail COO Stanley Co.

The next leg of the run is scheduled for September 10, 2023 in Naga City.
